A former restaurant chef and journalist, Shaw runs the award-winning website Hunter Angler Gardener Cook, the largest wild foods website on the Internet. He is author of three wild game cookbooks, with a fourth slated for release in spring 2018. His work has appeared in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Organic Gardening, Food & Wine among others, and he has been featured on CNN, the New York Times, Chicago Tribune and NPR. He hunts, fishes, forages, cooks and writes near Sacramento, California.
