As Executive Director of Oregon State University’s Center for the Outdoor Recreation Economy, Lee is responsible for leading the Center’s planning and strategic vision. He has helped connect OSU to leading industry associations, organizations, and agency leaders. The Center is focused on applied research and workforce program development to help the entire outdoor recreation economy reach its full social, environmental, and economic potential. Prior to joining OSU, Lee was Executive Director of the Mazamas, a leading nonprofit outdoor education and mountaineering organization. He has led statewide and national efforts aimed at expanding access to outdoor recreation for all people. Lee is also co-author of the Confluence Accords, a strategic agreement by eight states to support the benefits and needs of the outdoor recreation economy.
