Phil Bloom is on his second lap as president of the Outdoor Writers Association of America; the first member to be elected twice to the post in more than 60 years. Nine years after serving as president the first time, he’s at it again this year. Phil recently retired as communications director for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. He also had a 33-year newspaper career, including the last 18 as the award-winning outdoors editor for the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Journal Gazette.
