Alex Baires believes great products start with a deep understanding of people. As Senior Director of Product at Hydro Flask, he leads product teams across the brand’s portfolio, helping bring new ideas from concept to reality. Before Hydro Flask, he held leadership roles at YETI and Mountain Hardwear, spending more than two decades building products for outdoor enthusiasts.
Born in El Salvador, Alex has lived in California, Texas, and now Oregon. He’s traveled around the world, summited peaks including Mount Rainier and the Grand Teton, and biked a section on the Camino de Santiago. His  love of  the outdoors feeds his passion for creating products that fit seamlessly into people’s varied lives. And, he has yet to meet a spreadsheet challenge or deep dive into consumer insights he doesn’t enjoy tackling.
