Outdoor Media Summit Launches Executive Track for CEOs of Emerging Companies
Outdoor Media Summit (OMS), the premier conference for media and marketing professionals in the outdoor industry, announces the launch of its new Executive Track. This dedicated session track is designed to meet the unique needs of CEOs from emerging outdoor companies with annual revenues between $1 million and $30 million.
While many leadership events cater to CEOs of large companies, OMS recognized a gap in educational offerings for leaders of smaller, often founder-led businesses. The Executive Track aims to provide targeted content and networking opportunities for this crucial segment of the outdoor industry.
“We’ve observed an organic growth in CEO attendance at OMS over the years, this year over a dozen CEOs of smaller, yet great, outdoor brands will be coming out,” said Yoon Kim, founder of Outdoor Media Summit. “Many of these executives come from founder-led companies, where the CEO is still interested in connecting with the media. The new Executive Track at OMS will now offer them education that has been curated for executives.”
The Executive Track at Outdoor Media Summit features an impressive lineup of speakers including
Eoin Comerford, former CEO of Moosejaw and architect of its successful acquisition by Walmart, will explain a marketplace model where brands and retailers collaborate, vs compete, for the last click. Michael Smith, Managing Director of Investment Banking at D.A. Davidson & Co., will share financial trends and data within the M&A sector of the outdoor industry.
Julia Clark Day, Executive Director of Business Development, Sports at Circana, will leverage her extensive experience in retail and consumer trends to provide data-driven insights for the outdoor industry.
Todd Frank, Owner, The Trailhead, will share from a retailer’s perspective, best practices for collaborating on the last-click with brands.
Chris Perkins, Vice President of Programs at Outdoor Recreation Roundtable, will offer unique perspectives on industry-wide initiatives and policy matters affecting outdoor businesses, with a focus on trade policy.
Adam Cramer, CEO of Outdoor Alliance, will provide insights on conservation efforts and public land access issues currently in legislation that can help grow the outdoor industry.
Eddie Soehnel, outdoor industry “Futurist,” will present his predictions for the outdoor industry’s future.
Maribel Castañeda, Executive Director of Confluence of States, will discuss significant state-level outdoor recreation projects and initiatives. Her presentation will highlight outdoor recreation initiatives across the country that outdoor brands and media should be aware of.
The Executive Track will run concurrently with Outdoor Media Summit, as well as The Annual Gathering of the Confluence of States, allowing CEOs the option to attend sessions focused on media and marketing, while also connecting with state outdoor recreation office directors.
